The gap is real.

Most people who need software built can’t build it themselves, and most engineers who could build it are already busy. The result is a permanent backlog — good ideas that never become real things. We built Couldi because that gap is not inevitable. A person who understands a problem deeply, given the right tools, can produce working software. They just need a system that guides them through the process, does the technical work, and stays out of the way.

You should stay the one deciding.

Agents made building cheap. What got scarce is judgement — so every Couldi product is built the same way round: the machine proposes and a person decides. An agent can only ever suggest work; a build that breaks your policy does not ship; when we spot two teams making the same thing we say so and never retire either one ourselves. We also believe software should belong to whoever commissioned it, not to the platform that helped build it — every project exports as standard code with no proprietary runtime — and that you should see what things cost before you spend, not discover it in a bill.
